Project partners

Lead partner the Estonian Chamber of Disabled People (EPIKoda) and the Latvian partner SUSTENTO are similar organizations, both national umbrella organizations for people with disabilities. Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences is a well-known education higher education institution in Finland, while Estonian Agrenska Foundation is working with disabled children and youth, being an Estonian-Swedish jointly run civil society stakeholder.

THE ESTONIAN CHAMBER OF DISABLED PEOPLE

Umbrella organisation for different organisations of people with disabilities and chronical diseases in Estonia. Network of 16 county boards of disabled people and 32 nationwide disability-specific unions and associations. And an additional five supporting members. In total, we represent about 285 organisations from all over Estonia. We are leading source of knowledge in the field of disability and chronical diseases and a reliable partner on disability and chronical disease related topics for the state sector, local authorities and other civil society organisations.

SUSTENTO

Latvian Umbrella Body for Disability Organisations SUSTENTO is establised 11th of May 2002, at that time joining together more than 20 disability NGO-s. Today SUSTENTO has 54 different member organisations, with some 50 000 individual members.

SUSTENTO works to influence state policy in order to secure people with disabilities their human rights and full inclusion in the society. SUSTENTO is a member of European Disability Forum - EDF, representing more than 80 million people with disabilities in Europe.

HAAGA-HELIA

Haaga-Helia is a strongly business orientated university of applied sciences in Finland that develops modern pedagogy. Through education, research and development, we prepare professionals for their future careers and educate vocational teachers. We focus on co-operation, entrepreneurship, innovation and internationality.

ESTONIAN AGRENSKA FOUNDATION

The Estonian Agrenska Foundation is a modern counseling and development center for disabled children, young people and their families in Estonia. Estonian Agrenska Foundation is developing assistance facilities that support not only the disabled child, but above all his family as a whole. To fulfill our goals, we have created the Tammistu Family Center.

The main support services of the Estonian Agrenska Foundation are family counseling, childcare and support person services for children with severe and profound disabilities, to allow their family time off, time for themselves and participation in the labor market. We also provide rehabilitation services for many years and organize family camps and family days for families with children and young people with disabilities.

Associate partner JA Finland

JA Finland is a leading organization in entrepreneurship education in Finland. Their study programs help education providers with the teaching of entrepreneurship, working life skills, and financial literacy. They act in cooperation with education providers, decision-makers, business communities and young people.

One of the main aims of the project is to develop and implement the concept of JA Company Program for vocational colleges and the SEN group. Within the program, the participants establish a joint JA company or a business idea.
